Air Force 3-Color OCP uniform parachutist badge embroidered. To be awarded this badge during the AAF period, individuals had to complete proficiency tests while assigned to an airborne unit or the airborne school; or had to participate in at least one combat parachute jump into enemy held territory. Individuals must have completed the Army InfantrySchool course in Fort Benning, GA, or a formal course taught by the Parachute Branch at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
